Every Writer Deserves a Chance to be Heard

At the Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow (WCDH), we believe in the power of the written word to inspire, transform, and heal—and we believe every writer deserves the chance to tell their story.

Our mission is to nurture writers of all backgrounds, genres, and levels of experience in a supportive environment that builds community, sparks new thinking, and fuels creative expression. But belief alone isn’t enough—access matters.

That’s why the WCDH Scholarship Fund exists:
To ensure writers from marginalized communities, underrepresented voices, and those facing financial hardship can find a seat at the literary table.

These scholarships do more than fund a residency—they make space for stories that might otherwise be lost. They create the conditions for breakthroughs, books, and beautiful beginnings.
